Nearly 100 years ago, a young Anton Krauss emigrated to the United States from Germany, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge in both the grocery and meat processing businesses. Himself a master butcher and 4th generation sausage maker, Anton was able to have his great friend, and master sausage maker, Gottlob Steffan join him as he set up his own shop in Germantown, Wisconsin where the Krauss family name and reputation for the finest quality meats and service became highly regarded in the community. 

Upon Anton's passing in 1976, the family business was sold and the memories of the Krauss Food Ranch, their wonderful sausages, meats, and service faded into fond memory.....until now. Nearly 50 years later, the legacy has come full circle. Anton's grandson, and now 6th generation sausage maker and jerky master, Kevin Krauss, is bringing back the old world craftsmanship and artistry that was the cornerstone of Anton and Gottlob's incredible sausages, and now Unapologetic Beef Jerky, all with a modern flair.
